Oni

Oni is a stylish third-person action game that blends anime-inspired visuals with fast-paced, hand-to-hand combat and gunplay. You play as Konoko, an elite agent working for the Technology Crimes Task Force in a dystopian near-future where a supposedly benevolent global government tightly controls society. As Konoko uncovers buried secrets about her past and the organization she serves, the story unfolds through a mix of in-engine cutscenes, mission briefings, and environmental storytelling, giving the game a distinct late-90s sci-fi anime feel. Gameplay focuses heavily on fluid martial arts, combo chains, throws, and finishing moves, augmented by firearms and special power-ups. Levels are mission-based and relatively open, encouraging players to approach encounters with a mix of mobility, timing, and tactical positioning rather than pure shooting.
